Hwasun-gun Hosts Archive Exhibition of Former President Kim Dae-jung
[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Jeollanam-do Hwasun-gun will hold the ‘Kim Dae-jung President Archive Exhibition’ at the Gunlip Seokbong Art Museum from the 6th of this month to the 2nd of next month.
On the 5th, Hwasun-gun announced that it will hold an exhibition titled ‘Korea Chronicle? Records of President Kim Dae-jung’ to commemorate the 12th anniversary of the late President Kim Dae-jung’s passing and to share the spirit of coexistence of humanity through democracy, human rights, and peace.
This planned exhibition honors the spirit of the late President Kim Dae-jung, who devoted his life to democratization and the advancement of human rights, and reexamines his life through archives, displaying Western paintings, calligraphy, photographs, and more related to President Kim.
On the first floor in the ‘Exhibition Room 1,’ visitors can see works by Seo Ki-moon, a professor in the Department of Fine Arts at Chonnam National University, and artist Jo Hyun-soo, who painted historical moments of President Kim in paintings.
On the second floor in the ‘Exhibition Room 2,’ 18 calligraphy artists including Haksan Kwak Jeong-woo and Murim Kim Young-gi present calligraphy works featuring quotes from Kim Dae-jung.
In the ‘Seokbong Exhibition Room,’ visitors can see photographs depicting the late president’s life, from his role as the head of a family to a leader who overcame difficulties together with the people.
On the 6th and 20th at 3 p.m., a concert commemorating the 67th anniversary of President Kim’s political debut and the 50th anniversary of his presidential candidacy will be held.
Soprano Kim Sun-hee, singer Jung Yong-joo, and other vocalists and folk singers will perform, and the concert will be broadcast live on YouTube by Gwangju Cultural Broadcasting.
