As of 6 PM, 137 COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in Seoul... 6 Fewer Than Previous Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Seoul City announced on the 2nd that the number of new COVID-19 cases in Seoul was counted as 137 over 18 hours from 0:00 to 18:00.
Compared to the same time frame, this is 6 fewer than the 143 cases reported the previous day and 30 more than the 107 cases reported a week ago on the 26th of last month. The total number of cases for the entire day was 167 on the 1st and 127 on the 26th of last month.
Among the new cases in Seoul on this day, 3 were imported from overseas, and the remaining 134 were domestic infections.
Among major cluster infection cases, one additional confirmed case was reported related to a workplace in Gwanak-gu, a group facility in Incheon, an acquaintance gathering in the metropolitan area, a music club in Yongsan-gu, a telemarketing company in Seocho-gu, and a workplace in Jung-gu.
For new cases not separately managed as cluster infections, there were 61 cases from contact with other confirmed patients, 11 cases from contact with confirmed patients outside Seoul in other cities and provinces, and 50 cases under investigation for infection routes.
