Daegu Daehan Red Cross Hospital Site to Transform into Landmark Mixed-Use Complex
Bando Construction, Scheduled for Sale in the Second Half of This Year
Bando Construction has completed the purchase of the Daegu Korean Red Cross Hospital site and is accelerating efforts to transform the area into a regional landmark mixed-use complex.
In January last year, Bando Construction conducted a feasibility analysis and market research, ultimately winning the highest bid for the sale of the Korean Red Cross Hospital site located in Namsan-dong, Jung-gu, Daegu Metropolitan City, and signed the sales contract.
Recently, Bando Construction additionally acquired an adjacent site of 234㎡, planning to develop a total land area of 3,114㎡ and a total floor area of 32,766㎡ into two apartment buildings ranging from five basement levels to 29 floors above ground, consisting of 147 apartment units with a net area of 84㎡ each, along with commercial facilities. Construction is scheduled to begin in the second half of this year.
The Daegu Korean Red Cross Hospital site is located in the ultra-convenient double subway line station area of Banwoldang Station, Exit 20, on Daegu Subway Lines 1 and 2. It is within walking distance to major department stores and markets such as Banwoldang Hyundai Department Store, Donga Shopping, Dongseong-ro, Seomun Market, and Yeommae Market.
Daegu Elementary School, Jeil Middle School, and Kyungpook National University Affiliated Elementary, Middle, and High Schools are also accessible on foot, and various large and medium-sized hospitals such as Dongsan Hospital, Kyungpook National University Hospital, and Cheoktap Hospital, as well as financial institutions, are available nearby.
