Kwon Ki-chan Appointed as New Chairman of the Korea Cultural and Arts Center Association
[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 31st that it has appointed Kwon Ki-chan, Chairman of Wearfun International, as the non-executive chairman of the Korea Culture and Arts Centers Association (KOCACA). The term of the new chairman is three years.
New Chairman Kwon Ki-chan has been awarded the National Medal of Merit for his contributions to cultural and economic exchanges by the governments of France and Italy.
Chairman Kwon has served as an organizing committee member of the Seoul International Music Festival, chairman of the Seongjeong Music Competition of the Seongjeong Cultural Foundation, adjunct professor at Sookmyung Women’s University, director and executive committee member of the Seoul Arts Center Supporters Association, and director of the Gangnam Cultural Foundation.
Founded in 1996, KOCACA is an affiliated organization of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism with 223 cultural and arts centers nationwide, including the Seoul Arts Center and Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, as member institutions.
