Gangnam-gu Volunteer Activity 'Ssak·Sseu·Ri Challenge' 진행
3-8 Month Non-Face-to-Face Monthly Programs... Sharing the Seriousness of Environmental Issues and Presenting Volunteer Practice Methods
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) will conduct an online campaign called the ‘Ssak·Sseu·Ri Challenge’ with the Gangnam-gu Volunteer Center from March to August, starting with the March program ‘Ssak-Jupging,’ where residents directly engage in environmental protection volunteer activities.
‘Ssak·Sseu·Ri’ is a new project initiated by the district this year, meaning to ‘completely clean up trash, sweep it up, and recycle it.’
It is a non-face-to-face volunteer activity that anyone can practice in daily life, such as separating recyclables and saving energy.
‘Ssak-Jupging,’ held from the 17th to the end of this month, is a program combining ‘picking up trash’ and ‘jogging,’ where participants pick up trash while light jogging or walking and post proof on SNS.
Anyone aged 14 and older can participate, and up to 2 hours of volunteer time is recognized upon meeting the certification conditions.
Additionally, the district has prepared programs for April’s ‘Everyday Earth Day,’ May to July’s ‘Proper Separation of Recyclables,’ and August’s ‘Plastic Upcycling’ and ‘Energy Detox.’
