102 New COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in Seoul by 6 PM

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that from midnight to 6 p.m. on the 16th, a total of 102 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in Seoul over an 18-hour period.
This is 40 more cases than the previous day (62 cases) during the same time frame, and 5 fewer cases than a week ago on the 9th (107 cases). The total number of cases for the entire day was 79 on the 15th and 138 on the 9th.
Among the new cases, 1 was imported from overseas, and 101 were locally transmitted.
Regarding cluster infections, 2 additional cases were confirmed related to a hospital in Dongdaemun-gu, a beauty salon in Gwanak-gu, a medical institution in Jung-gu, and a workplace in Yeongdeungpo-gu. One additional case was confirmed each in connection with a religious facility in Seongdong-gu, a nursing facility in Jungnang-gu, and a childcare facility in Eunpyeong-gu.
Additionally, there were 2 cases from other cluster infections, 41 cases from contact with other confirmed patients, 7 cases from contact with confirmed patients from other cities or provinces, and 42 cases with infection routes under investigation.
