At Least 6 Dead in Myanmar Coup Protest... "Military and Police Gunfire"
[Asia Economy Reporter Onyu Lim] At least six people participating in anti-coup protests in Yangon, Myanmar's largest city, and central Myaing were shot dead by military and police forces, according to major foreign media citing local news and witnesses on the 11th (local time).
There were dozens of people at the protest site in North Dagon, Yangon, and photos posted on social media show a man lying on the road bleeding from his head.
The news also reported, citing witnesses, that at least five people died in central Myaing.
According to the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP) in Myanmar, more than 60 people have died from gunfire and other causes by military and police forces since the coup on the 1st of last month.

The Myanmar military seized power through a coup, citing the reason that despite serious fraud in the November general election last year, Aung San Suu Kyi's civilian government did not investigate it.
