Forecast, Solar Panels, and Commercial Electric Vehicles... Accelerating the Adoption of Green Energy Facilities
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] The Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation announced on the 10th that it has installed various eco-friendly facilities in its building to participate in greenhouse gas reduction.
Recently, the corporation installed 62 solar panels in its ground parking lot. The power generation facility is expected to produce 34,000 kW of electricity annually. The electricity generated will be used to operate heating and cooling devices for janitors, on-site workers, pregnant women, and patients with mild symptoms.
In the underground parking lot, a fast charging station for electric vehicles was installed and opened for use by external customers as well as employees.
For company vehicles, 12 cars were replaced with eco-friendly vehicles (9 hybrids and 3 electric cars).

Wi Seong-baek, president of the Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation, emphasized, “Since our building is adjacent to Cheonggyecheon, a place with heavy foot traffic, we expect many general users to use the electric vehicle charging station,” adding, “As a public institution, we will continue efforts to realize the Green New Deal policy.”
