Gangnam-gu Opens 'Digital Consultation Center' Providing Guidance on Kiosks and E-commerce

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jung Soon-gyun) will open a 'Digital Counseling Center' on the 8th to provide 1:1 customized counseling services for digitally vulnerable groups in the area facing difficulties in the ontact era.
The 'Digital Counseling Center' aims to address the information gap issues of elderly people and others lacking basic digital knowledge and experience by offering user-specific counseling on the use of various digital devices such as computers, smartphones, and kiosks.
Counseling sessions will be held by appointment at the Samsung 2-dong Community Center and Daechi 2-dong Community Center Informatization Class every Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Applicants must be residents of Gangnam-gu, and applications are accepted for 1:1 sessions or small groups such as clubs or village communities. Each individual (or group) can receive up to two 50-minute sessions per month.
Those wishing to make a reservation can apply through the Informatization Class call center or the Gangnam-gu Office website.

Meanwhile, to respond to the Fourth Industrial Revolution era, Gangnam-gu plans to establish an 'IT Convergence Education Center' within the Segok Complex Cultural Center by the second half of this year, where education, exhibitions, and experiences related to IT technologies such as coding, 3D printing, and drones will be available, advancing toward becoming a 'Smart City Gangnam.'
