From the 8th to the 19th, the Cleaning Administration Division accepts applications via mail, visits, and email... Participation in various district cleaning policies including monitoring major projects, collecting residents' opinions, and seeking solutions to waste issues
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yuseonghun) is forming the "Clean City Geumcheon Resident Participation Group" to create a garbage-free and pleasant city.
The district plans to enhance the effectiveness of cleaning administration by sharing awareness of garbage issues through the operation of the resident participation group and aiming for fundamental solutions to garbage problems.
The district is publicly recruiting 20 responsible residents who are highly interested in solving garbage problems to form the resident participation group.
Anyone aged 19 or older who resides in the district or works at an institution or business located in the district can apply.
The resident participation group will focus on resolving complex social conflicts related to garbage issues by monitoring major waste-related projects, collecting residents' opinions on waste policies, and suggesting directions for solving garbage problems.
Residents wishing to participate can download the application form from the "Notices and Announcements" board on the Geumcheon-gu website from March 8 to 19, fill it out, and submit it via email (jimmy2011@geumcheon.go.kr), mail, or in person to the Cleaning Administration Division on the 11th floor of Geumcheon-gu Office.
The resident participation group will be composed of three subcommittees: "Recycling Subcommittee," "Waste Reduction Subcommittee," and "Illegal Dumping Subcommittee," each recognizing cleaning issues and preparing solutions.
Additionally, they will participate in various policies such as the "Cleanliness Evaluation Meeting," "Clean City Geumcheon Proclamation Ceremony," "Resident Tours of Waste-related Facilities," and activities for waste reduction including "Resident Briefings, Campaigns, Contests, and Education."
