According to local Japanese media on the 2nd, Ms. A, an ordinary office worker in Japan, has been told that she looks younger now than she did in her teens 10 years ago after four plastic surgeries. Ms. A revealed photos of herself before and after the surgeries on SNS and shared her story.
Before the surgeries, Ms. A called herself a "chunya" (ugly woman). At age 13, after seeing a magazine model, she said, "I want to become a model," but a friend’s response, "With that face?" shocked her. Hearing derogatory remarks about her appearance from those around her, Ms. A lived as a hikikomori (reclusive person).
After graduating high school, Ms. A persuaded her parents, who opposed plastic surgery, by saying, "If I don’t get surgery, I might die," and went under the knife. Having been mocked for her looks, Ms. A believed that becoming beautiful through surgery would allow her to live a different life.

She was able to break free from her reclusive lifestyle thanks to the comfort of a friend. The friend listened to her story and encouraged her.

Hearing compliments like "You’ve become pretty" from acquaintances during her school days and others around her gradually boosted her self-esteem. Ms. A proudly said, "I gained confidence after the surgeries, and many people around me started showing affection. I even hear that I’m beautiful."
Currently, Ms. A runs a business that offers advice and introduces clinics to people who have similar concerns as she once did.
