[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] U+Altteul Mobile launched the industry's first unlimited call and data SIM plan under 10,000 KRW per month, called ‘SIM Call Unlimited·Data 6GB+’ on the 5th.
The SIM Call Unlimited·Data 6GB+ plan is a ‘SIM-only plan’ that requires no contract and allows easy subscription by simply replacing the SIM card. Calls and texts are completely unlimited, and data is provided with a basic allowance of 6GB, after which users can continue at 1Mbps speed.
A key feature of the SIM Call Unlimited·Data 6GB+ plan is that no additional charges occur. Also, it can be used by just replacing the SIM without any contract, and the price is about half of comparable plans from the three major mobile carriers.
U+Altteul Mobile stated, “This plan is optimal for consumers who mainly use data in Wi-Fi environments such as home, office, or school and want to use an unlimited plan without burden.” They added, “Reflecting the trend in communication fees shifting from traditional bundle discounts or membership benefits to reducing communication costs, we have greatly increased consumer accessibility to unlimited plans.”
To commemorate the launch of the new plan, U+Altteul Mobile is also running a one-month discount promotion on the popular existing plan ‘SIM Best Value (10GB+/200 minutes)’. This plan, designed for average voice call users who want sufficient data, is available for 18,810 KRW. After using the basic 10GB allowance, the speed switches to 1Mbps without additional charges.
