Sejong-si Launches Research Project for 'Village Community Revitalization'
[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Sejong City is initiating a research project to establish a five-year basic plan (2022?2026) for revitalizing village communities.
The city announced on the 4th that it held a kickoff meeting for the research project. The purpose of the research is to present mid- to long-term policy directions for revitalizing village communities and to establish a basic plan that will serve as the framework for policies, thereby laying the foundation for village community activities and project support.
The Daejeon Sejong Research Institute will undertake the research. During the meeting, the institute shared the task execution plan and implementation directions with attendees and held a Q&A session.
The main tasks include ▲ analyzing the current status and conditions of village communities ▲ establishing basic directions and execution plans for revitalizing village communities ▲ forming and operating cooperative systems ▲ matters related to funding and support systems for village community activities and projects.

Based on the ordinance concerning support for village community revitalization in the city, the Daejeon Sejong Research Institute plans to conduct and complete the research project by the end of November.
