Boseong-gun to Distribute 5.4 Billion Won Early for 'Farmer and Fisherman Public Interest Allowance'
Full Effort to Revitalize Local Economy Stagnant Due to COVID-19 Spread
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Cheon-seok] Boseong County announced on the 2nd that it will pay the full amount of 5.4 billion won for the ‘Jeonnam-type Farmer and Fisherman Public Interest Allowance’ by the end of this month to revitalize the local economy, which has been stagnated due to the spread of COVID-19.
Although it was planned to be paid in two installments of 300,000 won each in the first and second half of the year, an early payment of 600,000 won was decided to support farmers and fishermen struggling due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The payment targets are heads of agricultural, fishery, and forestry management entities who have continuously resided in Boseong County since before December 31, 2019, and must be actually engaged in agriculture, fishery, or forestry.
The method of receipt is to bring an ID that can verify the person’s identity and visit the local Nonghyup (Agricultural Cooperative) at the address from the 15th to the 31st according to the designated village receipt date set by the town or township.
The full amount of the allowance will be paid in the local currency ‘Boseong Love Gift Certificate’ to revitalize the local economy.
This early payment is expected to be a great help not only to farmers and fishermen but also to small business owners and self-employed people in the region.
