According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 1st, one additional COVID-19 case was confirmed, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 2,093.
The individual is a resident of Seo-gu, Gwangju, who developed similar symptoms and visited a screening clinic for testing.
The route of infection has not yet been identified.
Regarding a rapidly spreading infection at an insurance company call center, since the index patient number 1994 was confirmed positive on the 22nd of last month, a total of 63 people have tested positive.
This includes 48 employees, 9 family members, and 6 acquaintances. So far, diagnostic tests have been conducted on 2,284 people, with 2,211 testing negative and 10 still undergoing testing.
