View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Nana] Beauty brand 'Peripera' has removed (G)I-DLE member Sujin, who has been embroiled in school bullying allegations, from its official SNS.
According to Peripera's social networking service (SNS) on the 1st, photos of the new model Sujin were deleted. Peripera had announced Sujin as their new model by posting her photos on the 19th of last month, but eventually deleted them on this day.
Previously, an online community claimed that Sujin had called friends during middle school to slap others or ostracize them.
As the controversy grew, Sujin denied the allegations, stating, "I wandered in my childhood, but there are truly unfair parts." Her agency, Cube Entertainment, also suggested legal action against false information, saying it was "not school bullying but a simple quarrel."
However, as multiple testimonies about her surfaced on various online communities, the (G)I-DLE fan community on DC Inside, (G)I-DLE Gallery, released a statement on the 23rd saying, "The agency denied the school bullying allegations, but additional reports and exposures continued, and there has been no further rebuttal or statement. Fans cannot support a singer who does not acknowledge the allegations and fails to properly explain them. We cannot support Sujin unless the controversy is clearly resolved."
