Resident involved in 'Security Guard Beating with Club' Appears in Court...Warrant Hearing
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man in his 60s, accused of calling a security guard on duty to his home and assaulting him with a wooden stick, appeared for a pre-arrest detention hearing on the 26th.
Judge Kim Yong-chan of the Criminal Division 10 at the Seoul Northern District Court held a preliminary detention hearing at around 10:30 a.m. for Mr. A, in his 60s, who is charged with special injury and assault. Mr. A arrived at the court earlier than the hearing time, at about 9:50 a.m., and met with his lawyer.
When Mr. A appeared at the court, he remained silent in response to reporters' questions such as "Do you have anything to say to the injured security guard?" and "What was the reason for the assault?" The result of Mr. A's detention hearing is expected to be announced later that afternoon.

Mr. A is accused of assaulting and injuring three security guards working at the apartment complex where he resides in Nowon-gu, Seoul. In particular, on the morning of the 20th at around 6 a.m., he is reported to have been intoxicated when he called one of the security guards to his home and assaulted him by swinging a wooden stick.
