2 More Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Related to LINA Life Insurance Call Center in Gwangju... Total 2,054 Cases
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Two new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Gwangju Metropolitan City.
According to Gwangju City on the 25th, as of 6 p.m. that day, two additional cases were confirmed, classified as Gwangju cases 2053 and 2054.
Both are related to the LINA Life Insurance call center cluster.
The cumulative number of confirmed cases related to the LINA Life Insurance call center is 42, with 1 case on the 22nd, 24 cases on the 23rd, 11 cases on the 24th, and 6 cases on the 25th (as of 6 p.m.).
The infection is spreading through multiple transmission chains to other occupants within the Bitgoeul Customer Center building in Seo-gu, where the LINA Life Insurance call center is located.
Previously, health authorities conducted COVID-19 tests on 1,549 people, including building occupants, their families, and acquaintances.
All 793 employees of the LINA Life Insurance call center have completed testing.
Four hundred seventy-eight close contacts, including employees on the 4th and 5th floors of the Bitgoeul Customer Center where the LINA Life Insurance call center is located, have entered self-quarantine.
They are divided into 220 on the 4th floor, 248 on the 5th floor, and 10 others.
