[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Lotte Confectionery partnered with Lotte Central Research Institute to launch the 'Nyamnyam Lab' on the 25th. The 'Nyamnyam Lab' is a business that was concretized from an idea after winning an internal venture contest held by Lotte Central Research Institute in 2020.
The 'Nyamnyam Lab' is a collaboration between Lotte Confectionery and Lotte Central Research Institute, operating themed online classes and providing play snack kits that match the content. This content allows children to experience being a daily food researcher and enables real-time communication with the researchers conducting the lectures.
As a pre-test before the content launch, Lotte Confectionery accepted applications through its official online mall, 'Lotte Sweet Mall,' until the 17th for 100 people, but about 1,000 people, ten times the capacity, applied by the deadline. Only those selected for this pre-test will receive a DIY snack kit for the class free of charge, and they can participate in the class at home via PC or mobile.
The 'Nyamnyam Lab' opens one class per day, lasting about 40 minutes. This content allows children to watch play activity videos and experience making their own DIY snacks. The target audience is children aged 5 to 9. In addition to play videos, children can listen to interesting stories about ingredients from food researchers and learn proper eating habits, providing not only entertainment but also educational benefits.
