Gimhae City Supports Stable Housing for Youth... Monthly Rent Subsidy Up to 1.5 Million Won Provided
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 23rd that it will recruit 133 participants for the 2021 Youth Monthly Rent Support Program.
The support target is households where the head of the household is a youth aged 19 to 39 registered as a resident in Gimhae City. The income criteria require that the applicant's recognized income be at or below 150% of the median income based on health insurance premiums. The housing criteria require meeting all of the following: rental deposit of 100 million KRW or less and monthly rent of 600,000 KRW or less.
Applicants are selected starting from those with the lowest recognized income amount after income verification through the social security system. Support funds of up to 150,000 KRW per month can be received for 10 months, proportional to the monthly rent paid.
The support funds are paid to the individual’s account after the applicant pays the monthly rent in advance. Applicants must submit a monthly support payment application form and proof documents such as monthly rent payment statements to the city.

Applications can be submitted from March 2 to 12 via the Gimhae City Hall website or the Youth Policy Team of the Job Policy Division at City Hall. Required documents include the monthly rent support application form, a copy of the lease contract, health insurance qualification certificate, and health insurance payment confirmation.
