Gyeonggi-do's First Female Fire Chief Emerges... Han Seon, Siheung Fire Chief
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The first female fire station chief in Gyeonggi Province has been appointed.
The Gyeonggi Provincial Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced on the 22nd that Han Seon (49), head of the 119 Rescue Situation Room at the Central 119 Rescue Headquarters, has taken office as the chief of Siheung Fire Station.
Chief Han graduated from Kookmin University and completed a master's degree in Public Administration at Sungkyunkwan University. She entered the fire service in 2003 as the 12th class fire officer candidate.
Chief Han has served in the Fire Administration Division of the Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters, as Safety Education and Training Officer, and as Director of the Fire System Division at the Central Fire Headquarters of the Ministry of Public Safety and Security. She was promoted to Fire Captain last year.
Chief Han is known for her excellent situation management skills and emphasis on communication and harmony with staff.
