Korea Federation of SMEs and Yeongdeungpo-gu Sign Business Agreement for 'Noranusan Hope Incentive Support Project'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Korea Federation of SMEs signed a business agreement with Yeongdeungpo-gu on the 22nd to promote support projects for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and small business owners.
At the agreement ceremony held at Yeongdeungpo-gu Office, the Korea Federation of SMEs was represented by Seo Seung-won, Executive Vice President; Park Yong-man, Director of the Mutual Aid Business Group; and Jang Yoon-sung, Director of the Mutual Aid Planning Office. Yeongdeungpo-gu was represented by District Mayor Chae Hyun-il, Director of Planning and Finance Jung Eon-taek, and Director of Job Economy Kim Hyung-sung.
Through this agreement, Yeongdeungpo-gu will be the first autonomous district in Seoul to implement the Yellow Umbrella Hope Incentive Support Project. Small business owners with annual sales of less than 200 million KRW who join the Yellow Umbrella in Yeongdeungpo-gu will receive an additional monthly 10,000 KRW, up to 120,000 KRW per year, as a hope incentive from the date of enrollment.
This applies to new enrollments from March of this year onward. Applications can be made upon joining the Yellow Umbrella, and detailed information can be obtained by contacting the Yellow Umbrella Call Center at 1666-9988.
The number of Yellow Umbrella subscribers (registered) in Yeongdeungpo-gu is approximately 20,000, and it is expected that about 2,000 people will benefit from this hope incentive support.
The Korea Federation of SMEs and Yeongdeungpo-gu also agreed to actively cooperate in promoting support projects such as "Fostering and Supporting SME Cooperatives" and "Supporting Smart Factory Construction." Yeongdeungpo-gu is currently reviewing the enactment of ordinances to foster SME cooperatives and plans to work on measures to support smart factory construction.
Chae Hyun-il, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, said, "Supporting hope incentives for local small business owners who have joined the Yellow Umbrella is a system first implemented by Yeongdeungpo-gu among Seoul’s autonomous districts," adding, "We will continue to promote practical support projects for SMEs and small business owners through cooperation with the Korea Federation of SMEs."
