Full-Scale Start of Returning to Farming and Rural Living at the End of This Month
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yuk Miseok] Gurye-gun (Governor Kim Sun-ho) announced on the 10th that it has completed the recruitment of the 5th class of trainees for this year's Residential Agricultural Startup Support Center, receiving evaluations that it is enhancing the reputation of Gurye, the number one destination for returning farmers and rural migrants.
Gurye-gun's 'Gurye-gun Residential Agricultural Startup Support Center' is gaining popularity every year by providing urban residents who wish to return to farming and rural life with residential spaces and agricultural education, supporting their successful settlement.
As a result of this year's application for admission to the Residential Agricultural Startup Support Center, 43 households applied, and after document screening and interviews, a final 35 households are planned to be selected.
Located in Yongbang-myeon, the Residential Agricultural Startup Support Center can accommodate a total of 35 households, including 30 studio-type units and 5 detached houses. It serves as a base where people can prepare for returning to farming and rural life at affordable prices of 160,000 KRW per month for studio-type units and a minimum of 210,000 KRW per month for detached houses.
In addition, farming facilities such as vegetable gardens and greenhouses are provided for lease so that residents can cultivate crops themselves.
Starting from the end of this month, the center plans to conduct various practical and theoretical agricultural field education necessary for returning farmers and rural migrants until the end of December, including crop cultivation theory and practice, field visits to leading farms, integration education such as understanding agriculture and rural areas and communication with local residents, and practical life education for rural settlement such as real estate information on farmland and houses and building permits.
