Chonnam National University Hosts Lecture on 'Ontology in Korean Language Informatics'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Chonnam National University will hold a lecture on the utilization of ontology in the Korean language field.
According to Chonnam National University on the 10th, the BK21 FOUR Regional Language and Literature-Based Creative Convergence Future Talent Training Education and Research Group of the Department of Korean Language and Literature will hold the 1st Advanced Specialized Class Lecture from the 16th to the 18th under the theme "Ontology in Korean Informatics."
"Ontology" refers to expressing various concepts in a form that computers can process.
Through this lecture, the education and research group will explore the future of Korean linguistics by applying technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and information processing.
The lecture will be held online (via ZOOM) with Dr. Lee Sook-ui from Chungnam National University invited as a speaker, and will be divided into three topics: ▲ What is Korean Informatics? ▲ Applied knowledge of Korean linguistics ▲ Composition and utilization of ontology.
In particular, the lecture will examine the basic knowledge and concepts of Korean informatics and research methods at different linguistic levels, establish the basic concepts of ontology and practical analysis at each level of Korean informatics, and seek the significance and utilization methods of ontology in linguistic research.
