[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] If AstraZeneca (AZ)'s COVID-19 vaccine receives government approval, vaccinations will begin on the 26th.
The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency stated in reference materials on the 9th that "the vaccine will be delivered to vaccination centers such as public health centers starting on the 25th, and vaccinations will begin sequentially from the 26th."
The AstraZeneca vaccine will be supplied sequentially from the 24th, with 750,000 doses (1.5 million shots).
This is part of the 10 million doses contracted by the government with AstraZeneca, produced under consignment by SK Bioscience at the Andong plant in Gyeongbuk.
