The Supreme Prosecutors' Office announced immediately after the meeting between the two, "Prosecutor General Yoon met with Director Kim, who visited the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, to discuss mutual cooperation measures," adding, "At the meeting, the Prosecutor General congratulated the Gong-su-cheo director on his inauguration and agreed to actively cooperate for the smooth operation of the Gong-su-cheo."
It further stated, "Specific cooperation measures will be discussed later depending on the completion of the Gong-su-cheo's organizational setup and investigation preparations."
The meeting between the two lasted about 1 hour and 30 minutes from 4 p.m. Prosecutor General Yoon and Director Kim agreed to activate a practical consultation channel between the Gong-su-cheo and the prosecution.
After the meeting, Director Kim told reporters, "We had a fundamental conversation agreeing to cooperate well regarding the case transfer clause," adding, "The atmosphere was good, but we did not have a detailed discussion about the standards for case transfer."
He said, "No next meeting has been scheduled yet, but we agreed to operate the channel practically and cooperate."
