Boseong-gun Operates 24-Hour Comprehensive Situation Room During Lunar New Year Holiday
Emergency Duty System for Employees in 7 Areas Including COVID-19 Emergency Quarantine Task Force
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Cheon-seok] Boseong County announced on the 8th that it will operate a '24-hour Comprehensive Situation Room' during the Lunar New Year holiday from the 11th to the 14th, deploying 123 public officials over four days.
During the special quarantine period, all facilities managed by the county will be suspended to prevent the spread of COVID-19 caused by visitors to their hometowns as well as tourists, and proactive quarantine management will be implemented.
In particular, the operation of the comprehensive situation room during this Lunar New Year holiday will focus on quarantine measures to prevent the local spread of COVID-19 and ensure residents' safety.
The personnel operating the comprehensive situation room consist of 75 people in 7 teams at the main office and 48 people in 12 towns and townships, totaling 123 people.
The deployed personnel will manage 10 areas including transportation, prices, livestock quarantine, fuel supply, environment, health, disaster·accident·safety, and forest fires.
A separate special situation room will be operated for COVID-19 related matters.
Boseong County has established special COVID-19 quarantine measures for the Lunar New Year holiday and organized 20 people in 10 teams for the Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters and 30 people in 2 teams for the Emergency Quarantine Countermeasures Team, making every effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 caused by nationwide movement and family gatherings.
In particular, to intensively manage 738 key facilities such as restaurants, cafes, and karaoke rooms, 4 PC rooms, and 147 religious facilities, an inspection team will be operated to check compliance with quarantine rules, and special quarantine activities will also be carried out at multi-use facilities such as traditional markets, terminals, and stations.
Health centers and general hospitals will designate duty medical institutions and pharmacies, prepare special medical treatment measures such as operating emergency rooms at all times and maintaining ambulance standby systems, to provide smooth health care services.
A Boseong County official said, "This Lunar New Year holiday, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we ask residents to refrain as much as possible from visiting their hometowns or traveling to other regions, and we request the active cooperation of all residents to have a safe holiday."
Meanwhile, Boseong County completed safety inspections of multi-use facilities from the 20th of last month to the 3rd of this month, and has been fully committed to establishing distribution order by operating a price countermeasure crackdown team to crack down on unfair trade practices, as well as promoting domestic demand through traditional market shopping events.
Since the 1st, the county has been actively working to create a warm holiday by delivering consolation goods worth 40 million won to 1,560 low-income families and disadvantaged and marginalized groups.
Additionally, through SNS, banners, and holiday greeting text messages, the county has requested holiday travelers and hometown visitors to refrain from visiting their hometowns, striving to make Boseong County safe from COVID-19 through mutual consideration.
