[Photo] Yongsan-gu Parish and School Police Council Donate Relief Funds to Fire-Damaged Households
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The Yongsan District Parish Council (Chairman Pastor Lee Gil-won) and the Parish Staff Council (Chairman Pastor Cha Eun-il) donated 2 million KRW in winter relief funds to Yongsan District (District Mayor Seong Jang-hyun) on the 3rd.
This was to help the households affected by the fire that occurred in Sinchang-dong, Yongsan District on the 28th of last month. Upon hearing that two residents were admitted to the intensive care unit due to the fire, the two organizations each raised 1 million KRW and delivered it to the district office.
Lee Gil-won, chairman of the Yongsan District Parish Council, said, “My heart aches deeply when I think of the families suffering from this sudden accident,” and added, “I will pray with the members for their speedy recovery.”
The district plans to send the donated funds along with emergency relief and cooking utensil sets to the affected households.

Seong Jang-hyun, mayor of Yongsan District, said, “I am grateful to the Parish Council and Parish Staff Council for standing with their neighbors in pain despite the difficulties caused by COVID-19,” and added, “I hope the affected families overcome their hardships as soon as possible.”
