'Discovering Gangwon-do's Competitiveness' ‥ Kickoff to Securing 8 Trillion Won in National Funding for 2022
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Gangwon Province has set a goal to secure 8 trillion won in government budget for 2022 and is launching full-scale efforts to obtain national funds.
According to the province on the 4th, the target amount for next year is 785 billion won more than the amount secured in 2021 (7.215 trillion won), marking the largest target ever.
Although the conditions for securing national funds are challenging due to the government's reduction in investment project costs following COVID-19 budget allocations, the province set the target to achieve concrete results for the 'New Gangwon Strategy' and the 'Era of Peace and Prosperity in Gangwon.'
The province has designated distinctive and competitive fields unique to Gangwon, such as the 4th Industrial Revolution and New Deal projects, as key areas for discovery to achieve the target.
