Intromedic Conducts Final Compatibility Test of Disinfectant for Sterilization Robots with Exarobotics
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] IntroMedic, a specialized company in video diagnostic medical devices, announced on the 4th that it has supplied disinfectants for testing autonomous sterilization robots to Exa Robotics, a company specializing in AI (artificial intelligence) autonomous driving robots. The two companies are currently conducting final tests for the development of autonomous sterilization robots.
IntroMedic and Exa Robotics signed a business agreement in December last year to promote the domestic sales of autonomous robots, distribution of space care products, and development of AI big data solutions, and are currently developing sterilization robots.
In February last year, IntroMedic secured exclusive domestic distribution rights for disinfectants from Sweden's LifeClean International AB. LifeClean products are surface disinfectants that have received the highest grade from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and recognition from the European SSI (Statens Serum Institut).
This product uses chlorine dioxide (ClO2), known to inactivate the coronavirus, as its main ingredient. It is preservative-free, non-toxic, and has antiviral functions, capable of eliminating 99.9% of various viruses and bacteria within 2 minutes.
Once the final compatibility test is completed, the two companies plan to proceed with a supply contract for disinfectants for sterilization robots. IntroMedic will also participate in the '2021 Korea Robot Show' hosted by Exa Robotics in April to showcase disinfectants and quarantine gates.
