Recruitment of Supported Companies for Design Innovation Enterprise Development Project "Discovering Leading K-Design Companies"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Institute of Design Promotion announced on the 4th that they are recruiting companies to support the '2021 Design Innovation Enterprise Development Project,' which will lead K-Design and drive economic growth.
The Design Innovation Enterprise Development Project is a program that discovers promising small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies and provides focused support so that design can be utilized as an innovation strategy throughout management.
This year, after a three-stage in-depth evaluation including document review, presentation evaluation, and on-site verification, 60 companies will be selected and supported until 2023 to internalize design-led management. Customized services necessary throughout all stages of product development, such as ▲capability diagnosis ▲new product development ▲global marketing, will be provided.
Selected companies can receive support for three years after selection, and this year, 150 companies selected over the three years since 2019 will receive support.
The target applicants are SMEs and mid-sized companies in the manufacturing and service sectors targeting end consumers. Industries with high design involvement and expected future growth potential, such as IoT home appliances, healthcare, premium consumer goods, robotics, and mobility, will be given preference.
