Busan Gyeongnam Race Park Jockey Dasilba Achieves Career Milestone of 200 Wins
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Jockey Da Silva (age 42) of Korea Racing Authority Busan-Gyeongnam Racing Park achieved his 200th career win on January 29th by winning with the racehorse ‘Choegang Ssonsal (male, 3 years old, Korea)’.
In the 4th race at Busan-Gyeongnam that day, ‘Mr. Fusion (gelding, 4 years old, Korea)’ took the lead early on, followed closely by ‘Choegang Ssonsal’ at half a length behind.
‘Mr. Fusion’ and ‘Choegang Ssonsal’ competed for the lead until mid-race, but 500 meters before the finish line, ‘Choegang Ssonsal’ quickly surged ahead, widened the gap, and comfortably took first place.
Jockey Da Silva, who holds Irish nationality, first obtained his jockey license in 1998 and has been active in Ireland, Brazil, India, Dubai, Germany, and other places.
He began his activities at Busan-Gyeongnam Racing Park in September 2016 and boasts a high winning rate with a career win rate of 13.0%, place rate of 26.1%, and consecutive win rate of 37.6%.
