[Today's Weather] Cloudy Nationwide with Rain in Some Areas
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Eun-young] On Sunday the 31st, the whole country will be mostly cloudy, with rain starting at night in some areas including the Seoul metropolitan area.
The Korea Meteorological Administration stated, "Rain will begin from 9 PM tomorrow in the Seoul metropolitan area, northern Gangwon Province, northern Chungnam Province, western Jeolla region, and Jeju Island." This rain will continue until the early morning of February 1st and mostly stop by morning. However, in some parts of Jeonnam and Gyeongnam, rain will fall from 6 PM to 9 PM, and in Jeju Island, rain may continue until midnight.
In the morning, the whole country will experience below-freezing temperatures with somewhat chilly weather, but the cold is expected to ease in the afternoon.
Expected precipitation amounts are approximately △5mm in central regions, northern Jeonbuk, Gyeongbuk region, and Ulleungdo·Dokdo △5 to 30mm in southern Jeonbuk, Jeonnam region, and Gyeongnam region △20 to 60mm in Jeju Island.
Expected morning low temperatures are △Seoul -4°C △Incheon -2°C △Chuncheon -8°C △Gangneung -1°C △Daejeon -5°C △Daegu -3°C △Busan 0°C △Jeonju -2°C △Gwangju -1°C △Jeju 5°C.
Expected daytime high temperatures are △Seoul 10°C △Incheon 8°C △Chuncheon 8°C △Gangneung 11°C △Daejeon 10°C △Daegu 11°C △Busan 12°C △Jeonju 12°C △Gwangju 12°C △Jeju 15°C.
Fine dust levels will be 'bad' in southern Gyeonggi, Sejong-Chungbuk, and Daegu, and 'moderate' in other regions; however, Chungnam, Honam region, and Gyeongbuk will temporarily experience 'bad' levels in the morning.

The Korea Meteorological Administration advised, "On the east coast, very high waves caused by swell may overflow coastal roads or breakwaters, so please pay special attention to facility management and coastal safety accidents."
