Police Arrest 20s Male Who Struck Unknown Women on the Back of the Head Near Gangnam Station and Fled
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A man in his 20s who struck the backs of the heads of unfamiliar women near Gangnam Station in Seoul and fled has been apprehended by the police.
The Suseo Police Station in Seoul announced on the 28th that they have arrested and are investigating a man in his late 20s, Mr. A, on charges of assaulting four women in their 30s and 40s.
Mr. A is suspected of hitting the backs of women’s heads with his hand and fleeing near Gangnam Station for about a month starting earlier this month. After receiving reports, the police identified Mr. A through analysis of closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage and arrested him during a stakeout the previous day. Investigations revealed that Mr. A did not commit the crimes under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

A police official stated, "We are conducting an investigation into the exact circumstances of the incident," adding, "We are considering applying for an arrest warrant."
