View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Seo Young-seo] The Sinan County Severe Disability Independent Living Support Center announced on the 26th that Choi Byeol-jong (60), president of the Sinan Fixed Net Fishing Association, has become a role model in the local community by delivering 100 boxes of ham and tuna sets to families of people with severe disabilities, following his previous donation in December 2019.
On the 25th, Choi Byeol-jong visited the Sinan County Severe Disability Independent Living Support Center and personally delivered the prepared consolation gifts, touching everyone present.
Residing in Imja-myeon, Sinan County, Choi Byeol-jong became disabled due to burns sustained in a ship explosion accident. Despite undergoing multiple surgeries and treatments, he has not given up and continues to live his life devoted to fishing as his calling.
Additionally, he was recognized for his volunteer work and diligent life by receiving the Distinguished Disabled Person Award presented by Jeollanam-do Province.
While sustaining his livelihood by catching shrimp on the rough and harsh sea, Choi Byeol-jong sets an example not only for people with disabilities but for everyone by hosting feasts and making donations for the development of his hometown and the elderly.
