Pohang City Opens Renewed Homigot-myeon Administrative Welfare Center... Installation of Temperature Recognition Automatic Doors
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] On the 25th, Pohang City completed the renewal construction of the Homigot-myeon Administrative Welfare Center, known as the nation's top sunrise viewing spot, and held a completion ceremony.
The Homigot-myeon Administrative Welfare Center, located in Guman-ri, Homigot-myeon, Nam-gu, has a site area of 3,241㎡ and a two-story building. Since its establishment in 1987, there have been increasing demands for facility improvements due to the aging of the building.
Starting from August last year, Pohang City invested a total of 600 million KRW to carry out renewal construction, including the installation of a temperature recognition automatic door, introducing the nation's first One-stop Untact System. The construction was completed around the end of the year.
Considering its status as a sunrise viewing spot, red materials symbolizing the sun were used, and terracotta, which is resistant to sea breeze and earthquakes, was applied in consideration of geographical characteristics, enhancing the exterior's sophistication while improving durability, according to Pohang City.
