[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] Former Minister of SMEs and Startups Park Young-sun explained that her comment posted on Facebook the previous day stating "South Korea is a Moon Jae-in holding country" was meant to convey that "each and every citizen is a holding country," and that she was discussing the future of South Korea and Seoul in that context.
On the 25th, visiting the 'Smart Super' in Dongjak-gu, Seoul, former Minister Park, while celebrating President Moon Jae-in's birthday the previous day, said regarding the 'Moon Jae-in holding country' remark, "The meaning of holding country is something we should be proud of," adding, "Each and every citizen is a holding country."
Former Minister Park emphasized, "It is very important to gather the 'power of positivity' by sharing how much future South Korea and Seoul have by holding these people."
On the 24th, former Minister Park wrote on her Facebook, "Happy birthday to President Moon Jae-in, many many congratulations," and added, "South Korea is a Moon Jae-in holding country!!!"
