According to major foreign media including CNN, King was hospitalized on the 3rd due to coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and died at the age of 87 while receiving treatment.
King hosted CNN's "Larry King Live" for 25 years starting in 1985, interviewing famous politicians such as former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, celebrities, athletes, and ordinary people. In recent years, he hosted a program called "Larry King Now" on Hulu and the Russian state broadcaster RT.

Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the Russian state broadcaster Russia Today (RT), announced King's death on her Telegram channel, saying, "This is a tremendous loss. Larry King was a legend of global TV broadcasting and one of the most famous figures. He was a delicate and wonderful person with a great sense of humor. I have no words."
