Eastar Air Workers' Solidarity "Support Rehabilitation Process... Urge Management Normalization"

In a statement released that day, the Workers' Solidarity said, "We earnestly hope to find an acquiring company through the corporate rehabilitation process, which is our last hope, and to soar with sound management."
They added, "We also urge the management, who are undertaking the corporate rehabilitation process for the last time, to demonstrate responsibility and a proactive attitude so that the sacrifices of the employees will not be in vain, and to do their utmost to achieve successful business normalization."
The Workers' Solidarity explained, "Since the true voices of the workers could not be heard, employees gathered together to raise a unified voice for the normalization of Eastar Jet's management, forming the 'Eastar Jet Workers' Solidarity' centered on current Eastar Jet employees."
The Solidarity was formed through the voluntary participation of employees, including worker representatives, and plans to operate with the purpose of normalizing Eastar Jet's management and protecting workers' jobs and rights.

Earlier, on the 14th of this month, Eastar Jet filed for rehabilitation proceedings with the Seoul Bankruptcy Court through a merger and acquisition (M&A) process to continue its air transportation operations.
