DL E&C Introduces Robotic Process Automation for Digital Innovation
[Asia Economy Reporter Onyu Lim] DL E&C (formerly Daelim Industrial) announced on the 22nd that it is accelerating digital transformation by applying cloud-based Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technology. RPA is a technology where software robots automatically perform repetitive and standardized tasks that humans would otherwise have to handle.
DL E&C named its RPA robot ‘Dinno,’ a shortened form of DL Innovation, symbolizing its commitment to support employees in focusing on more valuable innovative tasks. Currently, Dinno handles tasks such as monitoring the latest regulatory changes, collecting raw material market data, updating news on partner companies, monitoring online lowest prices, and issuing vouchers. When converted to human work hours, Dinno’s workload amounts to 10,000 hours annually. DL E&C plans to quickly introduce Dinno into field operations as well. Through this, Dinno is expected to handle 80,000 hours of work company-wide by the end of this year.
DL E&C is proactively responding to the Fourth Industrial Revolution and actively pursuing digital innovation. By actively utilizing big data and AI to realize smart construction, and combining the latest ICT technologies with advanced construction methods, the company aims to simultaneously improve work efficiency, cost innovation, and productivity. In fact, DL E&C is recognized as one of the fastest companies to pursue digital innovation even in the conservative construction industry. It is already accelerating digital innovation across all areas, from design and product development to marketing, cost, process, and safety management.
