Intops, Green Umbrella Child Fund & KBS Radio Center... "Social Contribution Agreement Signed"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Intops, a first-tier partner in Samsung Electronics' mobile phone case division, announced on the 22nd that it signed a social contribution agreement with the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation and KBS Radio Center, and held a donation ceremony for 100 million KRW in support of the 'Hope Recharge Korea' campaign.
The event held at the KBS headquarters in Yeouido was attended by Intops Vice President Yoon Kyuhan, Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation Chairman Lee Jehoon, and KBS Radio Center Director Choi Bonghyun. They pledged mutual cooperation to support domestic welfare blind spots and vulnerable children. The agreement and sponsorship were carried out as part of Intops' 'Happiness Sharing Project.'
The Happiness Sharing Project was first launched in 2013 through a tripartite agreement between Intops, Seoul City, and the Seoul Social Welfare Council to support the lower-income class in welfare blind spots. With an annual budget of 500 million KRW, the target areas have now expanded to include Anyang City in Gyeonggi Province and Gumi City in Gyeongbuk Province. Seasonal necessities such as daily essentials, fans, and electric blankets are provided. To date, Intops has supported approximately 65,000 households in the lower-income class.
'Hope Recharge Korea' has introduced cases of vulnerable children in Korea every week on KBS Radio since 2013. The collected donations have been delivered to vulnerable families through the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation. Intops' recent donation will also serve as a foundation for this campaign and will be used to support vulnerable children.
Kim Geunha, CEO of Intops, said, “We are always grateful that our society has been the foundation for the company’s growth and development,” adding, “We hope that through warm support from all sectors of society, the lives of children in vulnerable families can become more hopeful and positive.”
