The city announced on the 21st that it will operate the nutria purchase program until December 17 of this year (or until the budget is exhausted, whichever comes first).
Residents who catch nutria using traps or nets within the jurisdiction and bring the captured animal (carcass) to the administrative welfare centers of each eup, myeon, or dong for reporting can receive a reward of 20,000 KRW per animal.
However, if the carcass is damaged due to capture using firearms, crossbows, bows, or poison, the reward will not be paid.
