Director Lee assumed office as the 7th Director of the Small and Medium Business Institute in March last year. He is credited with transitioning the institute from a public organization to a statutory institution, laying the foundation for it to become a think tank specializing in small and medium ventures.
At the online farewell ceremony, Director Lee stated, “Our institute strengthened its status and role last year by establishing a legal basis. Although follow-up measures and improvements in the poor research environment and infrastructure are urgent, I feel very heavy-hearted to leave without completing the given tasks.”
He also emphasized, “The Small and Medium Business Institute now stands at a crossroads to become a trusted research and evaluation institution specializing in small and medium ventures both domestically and internationally. Above all, collaboration and teamwork are essential. When we communicate and harmonize with mutual respect and move forward together, our institute can grow to the next level.”
He continued, “I hope ‘creative tension’ will flourish within the institute and that it becomes a place where employees can take pride in themselves.”
