[Profile] Kwon Chil-seung, Nominee for Minister of SMEs and Startups
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] On the 20th, Kwon Chil-seung, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea nominated as the Minister of SMEs and Startups, was born in 1965 and studied at Daegu Gyeongbuk High School and Korea University, majoring in Economics.
He served as a member of the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly and was re-elected in the 20th and 21st general elections. During the Roh Moo-hyun administration, he worked as an administrative officer in the Presidential Secretariat.
He has been active as a member of the National Assembly's Industry, Trade, Energy, and SMEs Committee, a member of the Special Committee on Energy, and chairman of the Democratic Party's Special Committee on SMEs, demonstrating a deep understanding of key policies and issues related to small and medium enterprises.
