The ‘Expecting Local Autonomy’ challenge is a campaign initiated by the Presidential Committee on Local Autonomy, which began as a relay message supporting the opening of the ‘Local Autonomy 2.0 era’?a significant change in local autonomy following the passage of the full revision of the Local Autonomy Act by the National Assembly in December last year, encouraging local governments to demonstrate their capabilities.
Participation in the challenge proceeds by posting a photo containing key messages such as determination and plans for the local autonomy era on SNS, followed by nominating the next participant.
Chairman Heo conveyed the message, “Realizing local autonomy and strengthening local decentralization is the trend of the times, and Wando County Council will lead local autonomy where residents are at the center of change,” reaffirming his commitment to the era of local autonomy alongside residents.
