Gimhae City Implements Special Management Measures for Resident Foreigners
Temporary Screening Clinics Established... Strengthening Compliance Checks for Daily Life Guidelines
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province, is giving special management as confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) have increased due to gatherings of foreign resident families in the area.
Recently, 15 people were infected in the Gimhae area due to visits by foreigners from other regions.
As of 12:00 PM on the 18th, there are 31 confirmed foreign cases and 18 family gathering cases, totaling 49.
The city has a relatively large foreign resident population compared to other regions, so at the early stage of the COVID-19 outbreak, it visited multicultural family centers to distribute promotional materials and has been continuously managing disinfection in areas densely populated by foreigners.
In particular, following this cluster infection, measures were taken to allow easy diagnostic testing at screening clinics and public health centers.
