Yeonggwang-gun Education Conducted Following Extension of 'Social Distancing Level 2'

The government decided to extend the quarantine measures for two weeks until the 31st, with level 2.5 in the metropolitan area and level 2 in areas outside the metropolitan area, along with some adjusted rules, as the average daily number of patients in the metropolitan area decreased from around 700 to the 300s, and the trend is generally decreasing outside the metropolitan area as well.
Jeollanam-do implemented some adjusted social distancing quarantine measures on the 17th.
The main contents of the adjusted rules are ▲(Private gatherings) Private gatherings prohibited from 5 or more people, reservations and accompanied entry of 5 or more people prohibited at restaurants and other multi-use facilities ▲(Other gatherings/events) Gatherings and events of 100 or more people such as weddings, funerals, and commemorations prohibited ▲Restaurants and cafes are only allowed takeout and delivery from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next day; if two or more people order only coffee, beverages, or desserts, the time spent inside the store is limited to 1 hour; one of the following must be observed: 1-meter distance between tables, leaving one table empty, or installing partitions between tables.
▲Gathering of five types of entertainment facilities prohibited ▲Karaoke rooms, indoor sports facilities, academies, private institutes, indoor standing concert halls, reading rooms, study cafes, etc., must suspend operations from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next day, prohibit food provision and consumption, and limit the number of people to one per 4㎡ or 8㎡ depending on the facility area ▲Outdoor winter sports facilities must suspend operations from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next day, limit capacity to one-third, and apply restaurant and cafe rules to dining facilities among auxiliary facilities.
▲Religious activities must maintain at least 2 meters between users during regular services such as worship, mass, Buddhist ceremonies, and memorial services; participation limited to 20% of seating capacity or 20% of capacity considering area for non-seating cases; face-to-face meetings, events, and meals hosted by religious facilities are prohibited ▲Wedding halls and funeral halls limit the number of people to less than 100 per individual wedding or funeral ▲Bathhouses, PC rooms, arcades, multi-rooms, movie theaters, and performance halls prohibit food consumption, require leaving one seat empty (except where partitions exist), or limit the number of people to one per 8㎡ of facility area.
▲Beauty salons limit the number of people to one per 8㎡ or require leaving two seats empty ▲Amusement parks and water parks limit capacity to one-third of the maximum number of people ▲Department stores and large marts conduct fever checks and symptom screening, prohibit tasting, sampling, and sample services, prohibit promotional events, and prohibit use of resting areas by customers ▲(Marts and stores [over 300㎡]) Mandatory mask-wearing, periodic ventilation and disinfection, etc. ▲Accommodation facilities limit reservations to two-thirds of rooms, prohibit events and parties, prohibit accommodating more than the room capacity, and prohibit operating rooms for parties.
▲National and public facilities suspend operations of bicycle racing, horse racing, motorboat racing, and casinos; other facilities limit capacity to 30% ▲Social welfare facilities strengthen quarantine by limiting users to 50% or less (maximum 100 people), and may close if necessary depending on regional risk level ▲Mandatory mask-wearing is required indoors and during high-risk outdoor activities, with fines imposed for violations.
The county plans to conduct joint inspections with related organizations such as the police station and education office until the 31st to ensure compliance with quarantine rules by facility operators and users for strengthened quarantine; violators face fines or penalties of up to 3 million KRW for facility operators/managers and up to 100,000 KRW for users.

Governor Kim Junsung said, “Recent epidemiological investigations of COVID-19 confirmed cases show many infections occur through contact with family or acquaintances living in other regions,” and added, “To prevent group infections during winter, active participation and careful guidance of all residents and public officials regarding social distancing level 2 quarantine measures are urgently needed.”
