One More COVID-19 Case Confirmed in Hwasun... Jeonnam Patient No. 664
[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Young-gyun] Hwasun County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 18th that one additional COVID-19 case has been confirmed in Hwasun.
The 664th confirmed case in Jeollanam-do, a resident of Gyeonggi-do, moved to Hwasun County, where they have a temporary residence, after coming into contact with Suwon case number 984 in Jeonju on the 7th.
The Jeonju Public Health Center transferred the confirmed case to the county as a self-quarantined individual on the 15th. The county health center collected a specimen and requested a diagnostic test, which was finally confirmed positive early this morning.
The 664th case in Jeollanam-do is an asymptomatic confirmed case and has been self-quarantining at the temporary residence in the county since the 14th, so no visits or movement routes have been identified.
The county urgently disinfected the confirmed case’s residence and requested bed allocation from Jeollanam-do. Together with the Jeollanam-do epidemiological investigation team, they are checking for additional movement routes through GPS and credit card usage records.
Also, all 54 people who had contact with the Hwasun resident confirmed positive the previous day (Jeollanam-do case number 655) tested negative, and an in-depth epidemiological investigation is underway to identify the infection route of case 655.
