Dongducheon City Implements 'Animal Registration Support' to Prevent Abandoned Animals
Proceed Until Built-in Microchip Is Depleted
[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Dongducheon City in Gyeonggi Province is implementing an animal registration support project in accordance with the mandatory animal registration system for companion dogs and cats over 2 months old.
Dongducheon City announced on the 17th that "from this month, applications and procedures are available at six animal hospitals acting as animal registration agencies within the city."
This year's city animal registration support covers a total of 350 animals and will continue until the implanted microchips at each animal registration agency are exhausted.
Companion dogs and cats subject to mandatory animal registration can register their animals with an implanted microchip for a procedure fee of 10,000 KRW.
