[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) is conducting the "2021 Resident Creative Idea Proposal Contest" to discover diverse and creative ideas from residents and reflect them in district administration, thereby realizing resident-participatory governance.
The contest topics include ▲ Public service and non-face-to-face policy proposals responding to the post-COVID-19 era ▲ Measures to revitalize the local economy ▲ Ideas utilizing innovative technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution ▲ Proposals for improving regulations that hinder corporate activities, and other various fields related to residents' lives.
The contest will accept submissions on an ongoing basis until December 31, 2021, with proposal evaluations conducted semiannually.
Any resident can participate through the National Petition System and the district office website. Proposals that belong to patents or copyrights acquired by others, simple petitions, criticisms, complaints, or those related to specific personal profit businesses and promotions will not be accepted as proposals.
The district plans to select proposals rated as Grand Prize (1 person, 1,000,000 KRW), Excellence (2 persons, 500,000 KRW), and Encouragement (3 persons, 300,000 KRW) after preliminary screening based on creativity, effectiveness, sustainability, etc., followed by final evaluation.
The results of the proposal evaluation will be announced on the district office website and notified individually in August 2021. Detailed information about the contest can be found on the Eunpyeong-gu website.
